Happy 2016! I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday season and feels ready to make this the best year ever! Here at EH Social Events, we are starting the year on a high note, introducing several exciting additions! But first, let’s talk about another successful event!

Misa Hylton, celebrity stylist, celebrated her birthday in NYC’s Taj II on January 5th.

Guests received our digitally designed invitation with Japanese inspired design. The theme was also evident throughout the space with Japanese sushi trays, chopsticks, and original art.

We designed two different floral arrangements for the guests tables and paired with matching signature cocktail menus.

The larger of the arrangements was inspired by the traditional Japanese decoration of the New Year, Kadomatsu. The flowers were reminiscent of a Japanese garden, with 3 feet Bamboo sticks, blossoms of hydrangeas, lilies and dendrobium orchids.

The beverages featured signature cocktails provided by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey and Ciroc. A beautiful ice sculpture lined the bar while Geishas in our satin-robes welcomed guests.

The beautifully designed birthday cake was provided by MDV Custom Cakes. It featured a  Japanese fan, handsculpted modeling chocolate Geisha, characters and edible handmade wafer paper calla lilies and orchids. The colors of the cake mirrored the party’s color scheme of white, gold and orange hues.

Perhaps one of the best features of the night was artist, Pesu, creating a live portrait of the birthday girl! He set up an easel while guests crowded around to watch him work. The result was a masterpiece!
